Former Disney CEO Bob Iger received two honors from his former company Sunday, becoming a Disney Legend and receiving a window on Main Street U.S.A. at Disneyland.
Iger’s window will be displayed above the entrance to the Emporium and recognizes him as the “Chief Architect for New Century Builders.”
The window reflects Iger’s leadership philosophy with the motto, “Looking forward to your tomorrow!” and features descriptors including “courageous,” “confidence,” “excellence,” “innovation,” “curiosity” and “optimism,” Disney said Sunday.
Receiving a window on Main Street U.S.A. is considered one of the company’s most cherished and enduring honors. The tradition dates back to Disneyland’s earliest days.
When Walt Disney opened the park on July 17, 1955, select names appeared on Main Street U.S.A. windows to recognize the individuals who helped inspire and bring Disneyland to life.
In the decades since, a window dedication has become one of the park’s highest distinctions, reserved for those who have left a lasting mark on Disneyland and The Walt Disney Co.
Iger was also part of the 2026 class of Disney Legends, alongside Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Anne Hathaway, the Jonas Brothers, Susan Egan, and more.
The Disney Legends Award program has been a tradition at The Walt Disney Co. for 39 years, beginning in 1987 with the recognition of Fred MacMurray, according to the company.
Including this year’s honorees, 329 Disney Legends have been named. Past recipients include Miley Cyrus, Tim Allen, Julie Andrews, Robin Williams, Josh Gad, and many others.
