I found out the hard way, thanks to a sneaky price increase on nearly all food at Disneyland Resort.
It’s not uncommon for Disneyland prices to increase (after all, we’re all familiar with those late January and early October price hikes on tickets, Magic Key passes, and even hotel rates). But sometimes, they’re not so obvious like the July 2025 price increase on pretty much all Disneyland Resort food.
This price increase on food hit resort-wide, raising the cost of quick-service meals, snacks, and staple foods like Dole Whip at both Disneyland Park and California Adventure. And it was so subtle, you probably didn’t even notice it happened.
Disneyland Snuck a Food Price Right Before the 70th Anniversary
If you were celebrating Disneyland’s big milestone anniversary on July 17, 2025, odds are you wound up paying a new price for your favorite snacks.
That’s because Disneyland quietly raised food prices just two days before on July 15.
The new prices subtly went into effect when the parks opened on July 15. And, since there was no announcement about the price hike, odds are you probably didn’t even notice. I only noticed something was unusual when I visited Plaza Inn for some fried chicken the bill was slightly more expensive, but I couldn’t quite figure out what was wrong.
The answer? Everything went up. Popcorn, pretzels, Dole Whip, and yes, even plates of fried chicken all saw price increases. The increases were small enough to sneak under the radar, making the new higher prices easy to overlook.
How Much Did Popular Disneyland Snacks Go Up In Price?
The July 2025 price increase on Disneyland food raised prices by anywhere from $0.25 to $2.00.
And while a few cents or couple of dollars seems small, this latest price increase has tipped many popular foods from reasonable to expensive. Here’s a look at the new prices for some of the most in-demand snacks, drinks, and meals at Disneyland Resort:
Popcorn: Increased from $6.00 to $6.50
DOLE Whip: Increased from $6.49 to $7.29
DOLE Whip float: Increased from $7.29 to $7.99
Pickles: Increased from $4.49 to $4.79
Turkey leg: Increased from $12.99 to $14.49
Chicken tenders: Increased from $11.99 to $13.49
Plaza Inn fried chicken: Increased from $19.99 to $21.99
Fountain drinks: Increased from $4.59 to $5.29 (small)
In total more than 1,200 food and beverage items at Disneyland Resort saw a price increase including simple staples like water, juice, and milk. So, odds are your favorite treats are now anywhere from a few cents to a few dollars more expensive.
To check the latest prices, you can view the menus of your favorite restaurants right in the Disneyland app.
Are More Disneyland Price Increases Coming?
Yes, odds are another price increase will happen at Disneyland Resort and food prices will go up again.
Price increases, based on historical trends, tend to happen twice a year at Disneyland. So it’s likely that prices will go up again.
The next price increase is likely to impact park tickets and Magic Key passes instead of food. These tend to increase either in October each year or at the start of the new year (in some years, these even happen twice in a 12-month span). Food prices may not see another change in 2025.
However, based on the fact that price increases are a constant, you can bet that the cost of your favorite Disneyland snacks will change again. That popcorn will get even more expensive but it may be another year before it happens.
