A Stars Wars festival returning to Disneyland will bring a fireworks show with a galactic soundtrack in Galaxy’s Edge and new Star Tours destinations in Tomorrowland as the annual event continues to grow in size and scope.

The annual Season of the Force event returns April 5 through June 2 at the Anaheim theme park.

A galactic soundtrack featuring Star Wars music will be played in Galaxy’s Edge during Disneyland fireworks shows starting on April 5.

Symphonic scores from the film franchise by composer John Williams will sweep through the Batuu spires in Galaxy’s Edge during nighttime pyrotechnics.

New Star Tours excursions will be added to the Tomorrowland motion simulator ride starting on April 5.

New Star Tours destinations haven’t been revealed yet, but Walt Disney Imagineering has confirmed former Jedi Knight and rebel spy Ahsoka Tano will become part of the Star Tours attraction in the spring.

Star Tours currently visits 11 planets in the Star Wars galaxy: Tatooine, Hoth, Batuu, Coruscant, Kashyyyk, Naboo, Jakku, Crait, Kef Bir, Exegol and Geonosis.

Ahsoka’s addition to the mission offers clues about where the Starspeeder 1000 could be heading next. The most-likely destinations: Lothal, Mustafar, Mandalore, Kessel or the World Between Worlds.

Disneyland has announced plans for four after-hours, separate admission events in 2024 without revealing the themes or dates.

Star Wars Nite is likely locked in for 2024 with the other three slots remaining open for new or returning special events.

Expect the annual Star Wars Nite events for 2024 to fall on and around May 4.

What started out as an unofficial annual celebration on May the Fourth of all things Star Wars has evolved into an eight-week tribute to the 1970s sci-fi epic space opera.

Doubling in length from 2023’s monthlong fest, the two-month Season of the Force run in 2024 falls on either side of May 4 — the unofficial holiday of the epic saga.

The Hyperspace Mountain thematic overlay of the Space Mountain will return during Season of the Force 2023 with a fleet of X-Wings, TIE fighters and Star Destroyers taking over the Tomorrowland indoor roller coaster.

The Star Wars-themed overlay of the Space Mountain coaster was first introduced during the 2015 Season of the Force event. Scenes of X-Wings, Starfighters and even the Millennium Falcon flash on the interior walls of Space Mountain as riders race through the dark aboard the indoor coaster. The highlight: A TIE fighter that heads right for the coaster train with an effect reminiscent of the boulder scene in the Indiana Jones Adventure.

The Season of the Force festival will also include specialty Star Wars-themed food, drinks and merchandise.
